This is the New Balance 550 Tall Men Shoe review. I am 6’7 with a size 14 US foot, and wearing a size 14.

I find that the New Balance 550 runs true to size. I find that my foot is too wide for comfort in other shoes (like Converse). But I can wear the 550 comfortably without worrying about having my toes feeling cramped or my soles getting uncomfortable from being too squished.

Like most of the New Balance line, the make of the shoe comes with a pretty hefty heel. The 550 shoe will add another two inches to your height. There is no way to get around this, and I do not suggest removing the insole. This will only lead to half an inch of change with much pain in your feet.

I also notice that the make of shoe is generally heavy. It is not a problem to walk in all day, but in general it is heavier than your average sneaker.

I really like the New Balance 550 line, especially this white-on-white shoe.

However, my one issue with the shoe is how it traps heat and moisture. Ever since I was a teen, I have dealt with sweaty feet daily. Because of this, my shoes will smell much faster than average. The 550 shoe fabric and outer material do not work well with my genetics and hot, sweaty feet.

Because of this, I do not use the New Balance 550 as a daily wear shoe, and when I do, I ensure It gets good ventilation once I have taken them off.
