When measuring the inseam of your jeans at home, you will want to use the pair of jeans that fit you best.
Secondly, make sure you have a flat surface that is wide enough to cover the entire length of your jeans.
Finally, have a sewing tape (flexible measuring tape) to get these numbers accurately.
Here is the step-by-step process on how to measure the inseam on your jeans:

1. Lay jeans flat
Lay your jeans down flat on a flat surface.

2. Fold your jeans
Fold your jeans so that each leg is on top of the other.

3. Lift the top jean leg
Lift the top jean leg towards your waist and place them there. Be careful in placing the top pant as not to twist the crotch and remove any crease’s to get a better measurement.

4. Measure jeans inseam
Take a measuring tape and measure starting from the bottom of your pant leg, measuring up to the hem of your crotch. Make sure to measure it all the way down along the seam of the pants.

The number you will have after doing this measurement is your inseam.
